Good Evening--
Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska celebrated its 14th anniversary last month! We elected the same slate of officers: Mickey Hage and Pauline Hooten, Co-Chairs, Debbie Meester, Secretary, Pauline Hotoen, Treasurer, and Delma Myers, Historian. Everyone had a great time. Patty Miller was there and signed us up for the fair: Intake is August 9 and 10 (Friday and Saturday), Judging is August 11 (Sunday), Set up is August 17 (Saturday), and Take down is September 3 (Tuesday). SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, March 23 (the fourth Saturday) 10:00 am to Noon Ididachain's March meeting will be in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse. We will be working on the flowers to decorate the fence at the Needlework display at Fair. We will have flower patterns and scrap yarn to use for making 4" flowers and leaves. Leave a yarn tail to tie the flowers to the fence! Patty has received a number of complements on the Needlework display as one of the best! And some of the credit goes to Ididachain members! We will also be collecting items for our charity projects. So come and crochet, learn a new stitch from Delma, get help reading a pattern or just talk crochet!

DAY OF CROCHET IN THE VALLEY: mark your calendar for Saturday, April 27, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will have a potluck and may try to do a special project for that day. We will discuss what it will be at the March meeting. April's meeting will be in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall!

Good Morning--
The Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting is on Saturday, February 23, at 10
am to 1 pm at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall. We
will be celebrating the 14th anniversary of Ididachain! There will be a
cake and a Potluck. Please bring a dish to share. We will also be
electing our officers: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian.

At the January meeting we named our charity projects for the year:
Infusion Center at Providence and Alaska Native Medical Center, Stork
Club, Valley Special Santa and the Frontline Missions (the church's food
bank). For the Infusion Centers, soft hats have been the most
requested. The Valley Special Santa and Frontline Missions is for
children so hats, scarves, mittens.

Our lessons will continue with Delma.

The March meeting will be in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Club on
Saturday, March 23, at 10:00 am to Noon.

Happy New Year Everyone!
The January 2013 Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting is Saturday, January
26, starting at 10:00 am to Noon at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse in
Anchorage. We will be putting together our list of charities for 2013.
We will also plan our meeting lessons and Days of Crochet for 2013.

The February meeting is our 14th year anniversary! Dues are $24 a year
and due in January or February. We will also be holding our biannual
elections. Would you like to hold an office? Let us know. The meeting
will be in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene in Vaughn
Hall. The meeting is on Saturday, February 23, starting at 10:00 am to
Noon.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska's 2012 Holiday meeting is Saturday, December 1, at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse starting at 10:00 am to Noon. Bring a gift for the gift exchange, if you want to participate, and a dish for the Potluck. Very little business will be done at this meeting! Come and enjoy visiting and the show and tell.

The January meeting is Saturday, January 26, 2013, in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse starting at 10:00 am to Noon.

Bring any charity projects for collection. There will also be some donated yarn for you to use for the charity projects. Come and talk crochet, learn a new stitch, get help with a pattern and meet other crocheters.

Happy Beginning of Fall!

The Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska's Day of Crochet is fast approaching. Join us at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse on Saturday, September 22, (the fourth Saturday) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be a potluck to share, so please bring a dish. We will be reviewing Delma's lesson squares and price the donated yarn for the Stash Sale during the Knit Out Crochet Too in Wasilla, October 20. We will also have favorites, show and tell and the door prize! Bring your items for the charity projects and any yarn or books you would like to donate for the Stash Sale. Profits from the Stash Sale will help Ididachain's bottom line. If you cannot make it to the September Day of Crochet and would like to donate some of your stash or library, email me or give me a call and I will arrange to get it picked up.

Saturday, October 20, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm - Knit Out Crochet Too at Meridian Point Building on Seward Meridian Road off the Palmer Wasilla Highway. We will be joining the Northern Lights Valley Knitting Guild. Come and help teach someone to crochet, learn a new stitch, share patterns, help read a pattern. We will also be sharing the Ididachain crochet library.

Saturday, October 27, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm - October Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska meeting at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall on the Palmer Wasilla Highway. Delma will be back from the CGOA conference and will give a report. She always has great new yarns and hooks for show and tell.

Good Evening All--
The August meeting of the Ididachain Crochet Guild will be on Saturday,
August 25, in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn
Hall at 10:00 am to Noon. We will continue with Delma's new square
lessons and discuss the upcoming Knit Out Crochet Too. The Knit Out
Crochet Too will be on Saturday, October 20, in Wasilla at the Seward
Meridian Point Building. We will also conduct a Stash Sale! If you
have any yarn you would like to donate to the Stash Sale, please bring
it to the meeting. Also please bring your completed charitable program
donations.

Saturday, September 22, is our semi-annual Day of Crochet. It will be
in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Den starting at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
with a potluck. During this meeting we will be pricing the donated yarn
for the Stash Sale at the Knit Out Crochet Too. We will also be
collecting items for our charity projects. Please bring your donated
yarn for the Stash Sale.

Good Morning--
The July ididachain Crochet Guild meeting is Saturday, July 28, from 10
am to Noon at the Lions Clubhouse in Mt. View. We will review the fair
schedule and maybe a new square from Delma. Last month we learned
Russian joining and it was a big hit! If you missed it, we will be
demonstrating it again. We will also be collecting items for our
charity projects and lining up dates to deliver them.

Good Evening--
Looking forward to summer, are you?

The June Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting will be Saturday, June 23 (the
4th Saturday) in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene
Vaughn Hall. We will start at 10:00 am and go until Noon. We will have
Delma's squares patterns to hand out. Delma is working on 6" squares in
easy crochet stitches. We can use them to make squares for our charity
projects or make an afghan out of one stitch.

The July meeting is Saturday, July 28, in Anchorage at the Mt. View
Lions Clubhouse. Starting at 10:00 am to Noon. Mark that on your calendar.

Happy Easter!
The April 2012 meeting of the Ididachain Crochet Guild be on Saturday,
April 28, 2012, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This will be our semi-annual
Day of Crochet which will be held at Vaughn Hall at the Wasilla Lake
Church of the Nazarene on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway in Wasilla. Please
bring a dish to share for the potluck. Come and meet other local
crocheters, get help with a pattern or stitch, learn a new stitch, check
out our extensive library and talk crochet. Delma Myers has agreed to
teach us a new stitch for our stitch diaries. Extra copies of the
previous stitch patterns will be available.

The May meeting will be held on the 3rd Saturday, May 19, which will not
conflict with the Memorial Day weekend. We will meet at the Mt. View
Lions Clubhouse at 10:00 am to Noon.
