Save the date - Saturday, March 22, 10:00 am to Noon, Ididachain Crochet
Guild meeting, at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse in Anchorage.  come and
browse our library, check out the donated yarn to make a fun project for
our service projects (see attached list). We will review the crocodile
stitch scarf.

The April meeting is our Day of Crochet in the Valley, Saturday, April
26, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene
Vaughn Hall.  Bring a dish to share for the potluck!

Hello All--
The February 2014 Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting will be on Saturday,
February 22, starting at 10:00 am to Noon at the Wasilla Lake Church of
the Nazarene Vaughn Hall.  We will have a potluck to celebrate
Ididachain's 15 birthday, bring a dish to share!  We will have a brief
meeting to discuss our charity projects for the coming year.  We have
supported on an ongoing basis the following charities:  New Life Mission
Food Pantry (Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene), the Valley Special
Santa, The Stork Project, and the Infusion Centers at Providence and
ANMC.  We have received many thanks from these charities for our
donations!  Come and join the fun, participate in Show and Tell, browse
our library, talk crochet and meet other crocheters.  Delma has offered
to present Crochet Tips and Techniques including the importance of gauge.

At the January meeting, Mary Omer volunteered to serve as Co-Chair.

The March meeting will be in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse
in North Mt. View on Saturday, March 22 (the 4th Saturday).  Is there a
pattern stitch you would like to learn?  Need help reading a pattern,
let us know and we will set aside some time for a teaching session.

Happy Thanksgiving--
SAVE THE DATE FOR the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year holiday meeting of
the Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska - Saturday, December 7, from
10:00 am to Noon, at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse on North Pine Street
in Anchorage.  Please bring a gift if you would like to participate in
the gift exchange and a dish to share for the potluck.  Very little
business will be done at the meeting to save time for gift giving,
sharing the potluck, visiting and show and tell.

The January meeting will be in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse
on Saturday, January 25, 2014, starting at 10:00 am to Noon.  We will be
reviewing our charity projects for 2014.  Hope to see you there.

Good Afternoon--
Mark your calendars for Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting on Saturday, October 26, at 10:00 am to Noon at Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall.  Please bring your finished items for the charity projects.  We will be dividing them among the Church's Food Pantry, Stork Project, the Valley Special Santa, and Infusion Centers at Providence and the Alaska Native Medical Center.  Any items you have will be welcomed.  I would like to thank Ronda Orr for volunteering to be our new Librarian. 

The next meeting of Ididachain Crochet Guild is Saturday, December 7, at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse on north Pine Street.  This is our holiday party and will start at 10:00 am to Noon.  Bring a gift for the gift exchange and a dish to share for the potluck.  There will be a very short business session at this meeting.

Good Afternoon--
The September meeting of the Ididachain Crochet Guild is on Saturday,
September 28, and is our Day of Crochet.  We will be meeting at the Mt.
View Lions Clubhouse in North Mountain View from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and
will include a potluck.  We will working on our charity projects and if
Delma has a square to learn, she will bring that along.  Join us for a
great time and please bring a dish to share.

Last month, we had a special door prize of 3 general admission tickets
to the Alaska State Fair and they were won by Esther Ottoway, Elaine
Hollinger!  Congratulations and hope you enjoyed your
free day at the Fair!

The October meeting will be in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the
Nazarene Vaughn Hall on Saturday, October 26, from 10:00 to Noon.  At
that meeting we will be dividing up the charity items. Please bring your

Good Afternoon--
The August 2013 Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting is in Wasilla at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall on Saturday, August 24 (the fourth Saturday) at 10:00 am.  We will recap the events at the Alaska State Fair, judging and volunteering.  We will work on our service projects and collect any that are done.  Special projects include the Infusion Centers at Providence Hospital and the Alaska Native Medical Center; the Valley Special Santa; the Stork Project and Frontline Missions Food Pantry (the church's food pantry).  We will have some yarn available for the special projects.  We will also have some special door prizes! 

Mark your calendars:  Saturday, September 28, at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse is our Anchorage Day of Crochet from 10:00 to 2:00 pm.  Come and learn a new pattern stitch, talk crochet and enjoy the potluck.  Please bring a dish to share.

Happy July--
The Ididachain Crochet Guild of Alaska's July meeting is Saturday, July
27, in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse at 10:00 am to Noon. 
Bring your flowers for decorating the fence of the Alaska State Fair
Handwork & Needlework Division which we are co-sponsoring with the
Northern Lights Valley Knitters!  We will have yarn available for you to
work on flowers during the meeting!

Happy Sunshine to everyone!
So good to have some warm sunny weather!  SAVE THE DATE:  June 22 (the fourth Saturday) for the Ididachain Crochet Guild meeting at the Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene Vaughn Hall.  We will start at 10:00 am and go to Noon!  Last meeting we worked on the flowers to decorate the fence at the Alaska State Fair for the Crochet Division.  We will continue with working on them at the June meeting.  Bring what you have and we will collect them for Patty Miller, Superintendent of the Handwork and Needlework Exhibit.  Patty offered to string the flowers and decorate the fence!  Can't wait to see it!  If you have any items for our service projects, please bring those as well.  They are very much appreciated by the charities and recipients. 

July's meeting will be in Anchorage at the Lions Clubhouse in Mt. View on Saturday, July 27!

Happy Spring!
Ididachain Crochet Guild Day of Crochet is Saturday, April 27, in
Wasilla at Vaughn Hall, Wasilla Lake Church of the Nazarene from 10 to
2. Bring a dish for the potluck. We will be making flowers to decorate
the fence for the Handiwork and Needlework Exhibit at the Alaska State
Fair. We are excited about this project. We will have patterns
available as well as scrap yarn from the stash. Come and learn a new
stitch, get help with a pattern or stitch or just talk crochet.

Kenai Peninsula Fair is holding a Fiber Arts Festival Saturday and
Sunday, April 20 ad 21, at the fair grounds in Ninilchik, 10 to 4 each
day. Ididachain will have a table at the festival where we will be
exhibiting crochet, selling yarn from Delma's stash (and yours if you
want to donate), demonstrating crochet, promoting the Alaska State Fair
in Palmer and teaching crochet to anyone who wants to learn. Also
joining us will be the Valley Fiber Arts Guild. Come by for the day if
you can. Mickey Hage, Patty Miller, Dolly Kalerak and Pauline Hooten
will represent the guild at the festival. We will have a report at the
April guild meeting.

Mark you calendars for the May meeting. In order not to conflict with
Memorial Day weekend, the meeting in May is the third Saturday, May 18,
from 10 to Noon in Anchorage at the Mt. View Lions Clubhouse. We
collect charity donations at each meeting. Our charities this year are
the Infusion Centers at Providence and the Alaska Native Medical Center,
The Stork Club, Frontline Missions Food Pantry and the Valley Special
Santa.
